Acknowledgments & signature

For every property we prepare an individualized services agreement, and for each portfolio one Form 50-162 appointment of agent per county. Easy Tax Protest countersigns after review — nothing is executed until then. Review a sample agreement and a sample Form 50-162.

Escalation and litigation authority. I have read Sections 3 and 4. I understand ETP may choose to take my case to Ch. 41A arbitration or to court, that ETP is not required to do so, that a court case requires a separate agreement with a law firm that I am free to decline at no cost, and that I must pay my undisputed taxes on time or lose the appeal.

Security and collection. I have read Section 9. I understand ETP has a security interest in refunds and awards, that ETP may place a lien on non-homestead property, that no lien will be placed on my homestead, and that I am personally responsible for unpaid fees.

Arbitration and class waiver. I have read Section 14. I understand disputes between me and ETP go to individual arbitration, that I give up the right to bring or join a class action, and that I may opt out within 30 days at no cost.

Fees. I understand the fee is 25% of tax savings, that I owe nothing if there are no savings, and that ETP may raise the rate for a future year with 60 days notice, which I may reject by cancelling at no cost. Exemption applications ETP files for me are free; if the district denies one and ETP wins it back by challenging the denial, the same 25% applies to the tax savings from that exemption.

One signature, applied to each property separately. I have reviewed the list of properties in this submission. I authorize my single electronic signature below to be applied separately to each listed property's Property Tax Representation Services Agreement and Form 50-162 (Appointment of Agent), with the same effect as if I signed each document individually.
